Consulting Business Innovation (CBI) is a global leader in business process outsourcing (BPO), call center, and contact center services .We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage the financial operations in the Dominican Republic office.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who will be responsible for handling the day-to-day financial tasks of our Dominican Republic operations. This role involves managing all financial records, handling payroll, maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, daily financial entries, and overseeing payroll and invoicing. You will work closely with our Payroll Executive, Account Managers, and Human Resources to ensure smooth financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Financial Records:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile sales, payments, and bank accounts on a regular basis.
  • Monitor and report financial discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Track company expenditures and review budgets.
  • Payroll Support:
  • Coordinate with the Payroll Executive to ensure all Dominican Republic employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Calculate salaries, deductions, and contributions as per the Dominican Republic laws and company policies.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist with creating and managing budgets, as well as forecasting financial performance.
  • Tax Filing and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with Dominican Republic tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and employee taxes.
  • Financial Audits:
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger by reconciling entries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a BPO or service-based industry.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and practices in the Dominican Republic.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.

  • Language Skills:
  • Proficient in both Spanish and English.

  • Personal Skills:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work Location: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (Starting remotely, must be available for onsite shifts in the future)
