Payroll Executive

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to manage the payroll process exclusively for our employees in the Dominican Republic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining employee payroll records.

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Executive to oversee payroll for our growing team in the Dominican Republic. Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll for Dominican Republic employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments, including salaries, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including attendance, leaves, and compensation changes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies, including social security contributions and other required deductions.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in managing local employee benefits and updating payroll records to reflect any changes such as bonuses, raises, or deductions.
  • Payroll Reconciliation: Conduct regular payroll reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies related to payroll calculations.
  • Coordination with HR: Work closely with the HR department to update payroll records for new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other personnel changes.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll-related reports for internal use and audits, including compensation summaries, taxes, and deductions.
  • Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other required reports to government agencies on a timely basis.
  • Collaboration with Finance: Work with the finance team to ensure payroll expenses are accurately reflected in financial reports.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in improving and streamlining payroll processes as the company grows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Experience in a call center or contact center environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with payroll software (e.g., Zoho Payroll, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Dominican Republic payroll processes, taxes, deductions, and local labor laws.

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees and HR.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues, analyze discrepancies, and provide timely solutions.
  • Language: Proficiency in Spanish is required; Advanced in English and Spanish is mandatory.
